I learnt to paint mostly on my own and I found the "Australian Decorative Painting" magazine to be most inpirational
and helpful!
Lots of different projects by many different, talented
artists. The beauty is that there are projects for every level. Plus "technicalities"
pages where you learn about different ways of doing specific
things such painting roses, painting bears etc.
Each issue is
filled with a variety of projects and techniques and if you don't
paint them when you get your magazine, you'll come back to it
some other time, even years later. I have a great collection
and I've indexed them according to types of projects, techniques,
elements and artists. Its my best decorative painting resource!
